HOLIDAY ENJOYMENT RULES
SCOTTBURGH CARAVAN PARK

In any well-run establishment some common sense rules need to be enforced to ensure your hard-earned holiday is a pleasure. Please accept ours in the sincere spirit in which they were drawn up.

1. For safety reasons portable/ inflatable swimming pools will no longer be allowed on your site and in the park.

2. Tumble dryers and washing machines are no longer allowed. Laundry facilities are available at a fee.

3. Bicycles, motorised scooters, skateboards & push bikes are no longer allowed in our park as they can cause accidents & damage to other people's property.  Isolated exceptions, by mutual agreement with management, may be allowed to ride slowly to and from the entrance.

4. Only frame-tents will be allowed.

5. Vehicle permits are not transferable from one vehicle to another – extra vehicles will be required to pay R30.00 per vehicle per night.

6. No more than seven (7) persons are permitted per site.

7. Parking on adjacent sites is inconsiderate & forbidden.

8. Speed limit in the park is 15 km/h.

9. No washing lines or windy driers may be erected at your site – please use the designated areas behind the laundries.

10. The office must be advised of any overnight visitors, this is for your own security. A charge of R25 per car for day visitors will be charged at the gate.

11. Vandalism and theft will not be tolerated and will result in prosecution.

12. The departure time of 10h00 will be strictly enforced; in consideration of new guests arriving after a long and tiring journey.

13. No loud music or bad behavior will be tolerated in our Park. Park must be quiet after 22h00. Should there be any complaints you agree to be given one warning before being evicted with no refund.

14. We do not accept post-dated cheques. Card facilities available, Diner’s Club and American Express are not accepted.

15. Braai-fires directly on the grass are, obviously, not permitted. Braai's may be hired from our maintenance department.

16. Only woven or net groundsheets are allowed and definitely not to be washed in the washing machines.

17. The cleaning of fish must not be done in the ablution blocks or at the taps. Please do this on the beach before returning to the park.

18. Small breed of dogs are allowed during low season at a charge of R12 per dog per night. Dogs must be on leash and you’re responsible to clean up after your dogs! No exceptions!

19. We do not accept teenagers as campers without adult supervision.

20. Senior Citizen tariffs do not apply over long weekends, public holidays and Peak Season.

21. Right of Admission Reserved.

DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATION

1. Repeat bookings must be confirmed and deposits paid before your departure. We are simply under too much pressure to deal with constant written and telephonic pleas (as we have in the past), so if you have not confirmed your regular or preferred site by your departure it will be re-allocated. Please note that we will not guarantee a specific site number.

2. Deposits are 25% of the booking, or the following amounts whichever is the greater:
Senior Citizen and Low Season >R250;    Mid >R500;    Peak >R1500

3. No refund of deposit for short notice cancellations will be paid out within:
1 week for Low Season; 1 month for Mid Season; 2 months for Dec/Jan school holidays

4. Cancellation fee will be 25% of deposit up to a minimum of R250.

5. No refunds will be made for late arrivals, early departures or bad weather.

6. If you need to move a booking, it needs to be in the same year and seasonal tariffs will apply.

7. In case of an increase in municipal rates, taxes, water and electricity your tariff will be increased pro rata with immediate effect.
